Meet Jonathan Cheung

John_Cheung2Jonathan Cheung is a project engineer in training in our Toronto Canada office, helping to design and make recommendations to avoid solids flow-related problems with new and old bulk solids handling systems. Most of the projects he is involved with are with major mining companies. At the moment, he is working on an R&D project that involves physical modeling of gold ore flowing through two interface designs.

Jonathan received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Canada. Prior to joining Jenike, he interned at Toronto Transit Commission working as a construction inspector. His main responsibility was performing field inspections against contract documents & submissions and construction safety compliance.

“What I like best about working here is the variety of work. One minute I can be designing a bin and feeder interface, while the next I can be modelling an ore pass in the lab or using DEM modeling to simulate a complex chute system. I constantly find myself engaged with something new and exciting here at J&J. There is rarely a dull moment”.
