Jenike & Johanson will be participating in WorldPM2026, an international conference focused on powder metallurgy, particulate materials, and related processing technologies.
As part of the technical program, Claire Rosienski-Pellerin will present:
📄 Preventing Segregation in Handling Powdered Metals
🎤 Presenter: Claire Rosienski-Pellerin
📍 Session AM-5-2: Fluid & Thermal Modelling
🗓️ Saturday, June 27, 2026
🕒 3:45 PM
Powder metallurgy processes depend on maintaining a uniform powder blend to meet product quality requirements. In this presentation, Claire will discuss how segregation can occur during powder handling, the influence of equipment design on segregation behaviour, and the typical approaches used to help mitigate issues caused by segregation in powdered metal applications.
The presentation will also include Discrete Element Method (DEM) simulation examples to illustrate sifting segregation and how it can be impacted by powder handling equipment design.
The presentation will also include DEM simulation examples to illustrate segregation mechanisms and the impact of handling equipment design.
If you’ll be attending WorldPM2026, we welcome the opportunity to connect and discuss powder handling, segregation prevention, material flow behavior, and bulk solids processing challenges.
