Meet Corin Holmes

Corin_Holmes2Corin Holmes came to Perth in 2012 taking on the role of Technical Officer, and helping to establish Jenike & Johanson’s Australian subsidiary. Since then, he has moved into a supporting role helping to manage the office day to day while supervising the lab staff.

Prior to moving to Australia, Corin was in our Toronto office, serving as a bulk solids technologist. He recently celebrated his 10th anniversary with Jenike & Johanson! Before working with Jenike, he owned and operated his own retail business Cormag Consultants Ltd. He received an undergraduate degree from MacMaster University in Ontario Canada, and a Masters in Engineering from the University of Greenwich, UK graduating with distinction. His thesis was focused on startup and running loads exerted by bulk materials on belt feeders.

One of the things Corin likes best about working with Jenike is providing education through speaking engagements at FeTech, ICBMH, the 2014 Engineers Australia conference and through various publications. “One of the best parts of my job is being able to work directly with clients to improve or create a design validated by the science created by Dr. Jenike. My reward comes with the knowledge that the efforts and experience provided by J&J have helped to prevent or solve very real problems around the globe”.

Fun fact about Corin; he plays the bagpipes!
