Jenike CEO to Present Two Full-Day Bulk Material Workshops Next Month

Date: 2013-10-15 / Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, USA

Join Jenike & Johanson as we present two all-day workshops at the PBE NorthStar Powder Conference & Tabletop Show October 15-16, 2013.  Each session will provide in-depth technical information to help you do your job better right away.

Bulk Material Flow Fundamentals & Step-by-Step Bin Design Process

October 15, 2013 – 8:30 AM – to 4:00 PM

Presented by Herman Purutyan, CEO of Jenike & Johanson

This all-day workshop discusses causes of common flow problems with powders and bulk solids loaded into silos, hoppers, feeders, and chutes. Methods to characterize a bulk material’s flow properties will be presented along with proven, practical, and cost effective equipment design solutions. Special attention will be given to common flow problems, powder and bulk solids test equipment, example flow test report, and step-by-step design process for storage vessel and feeder.

Who Should Attend: processing and production people concerned with minimizing production line downtime, especially production/operation managers, technicians and system operators.

Fundamentals of Powder Blending, Sampling, and Post-Mixing Segregation

October 16, 2013 – 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Presented by Herman Purutyan, CEO of Jenike & Johanson

The title says it all when it comes to this all-day workshop. The various mechanisms of blending and segregation are covered, sampling solids correctly, measuring solids mixing quality and approaches to successfully addressing a wide variety of mixing and blending problems will all be discussed. Designing and operating from a system perspective will be included with focus on understanding the interrelationships between common bulk solid handling unit processes of a reliable system.

Who Should Attend: Production managers, formulation developers, scientists, quality assurance personnel and facility engineers responsible for powder blending and product quality.
