Gain useful bulk solids handling knowledge at the 2010 Powder Show (PTXi – International Powder & Bulk Solids) in Chicago on May 4-6

November 05, 2012

Jenike & Johanson engineers will be presenting their popular powder and bulk solids handling courses at the upcoming 2010 Powder Show (PTXi – International Powder & Bulk Solids) in Chicago, Illinois in May 4-6, 2010.

Sessions to include discussion of common flow problems, testing of powder flow properties and their relation to bin/vessel/silo design, feeder design principles, caking of powders, preventing particle damage, powder blending, particle segregation, and transfer chute design. Proper training of personnel involved in solids handling and processing is essential to operating an efficient and reliable bulk solids handling system. Since the theory of bulk solids handling is seldom a part of formal engineering training, many in industry lack an understanding of why solids handling problems occur and what practical steps can be taken to diagnose, alleviate, or prevent them.
