Jenike & Johanson – Road Show
2018-10-23 | 8:30am
For the first time we are bringing our renowned One Day at J&J course to your city. We'll be hosting the seminar at:
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Kansas City - Overland Park
10100 College Boulevard, Overland Park, Kansas, 66210-1462, USA
Proper training of personnel involved in solids handling and processing is essential to operating an efficient and reliable bulk solids handling system. Since the theory of bulk solids handling is seldom a part of formal engineering training, many in the industry lack an understanding of why solids handling problems occur and what practical steps can be taken to diagnose, alleviate, or prevent them. This one-day seminar will provide solid insights into common flow problems that arise when powders and bulk solids are put into silos, bins, and hoppers. Ways to characterize a material's flow properties will also be demonstrated in our laboratory, along with a discussion of proven, practical, and cost effective design solutions.
This course will run from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm, and will include lunch and coffee breaks.
- Welcome and activities overview
- Introduction to bulk solids handling and material testing
- Virtual Laboratory tour
- Training on advanced topics (feeder design, pneumatic conveying, segregation)
- Open discussion opportunity with J&J engineers
- Social hour and Networking
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Design, project, and research engineers or scientists, as well as plant operation personnel who are responsible for solving and preventing flow problems or purchasing solids handling equipment, will benefit from the valuable information provided in this course. Additionally, personnel interested in learning more about bulk solids testing will find this course valuable.
COURSE REGISTRATION AND FEE
$350 before October 1st, 2018
$400 after October1st, 2018
A discount is available for multiple attendees from the same facility.
In the event of course cancellation or rescheduling, notification will be provided. Jenike & Johanson is not responsible for non-refundable airline tickets or the fees associated with canceling/changing a flight. If you or a colleague are interested in learning more about effective principles for bulk solids handling and flow fundamentals, this seminar provides an excellent opportunity to do so. If you cannot make this seminar, there are many other opportunities for training on bulk solids handling. Visit our training page for an up-to-date course listing.
